What You'll Do

Day-to-day responsibilities for this role include:

Operate excavators, mini-excavators, and other heavy equipment safely
Drive CDL vehicles to and from job sites throughout Northwest Indiana
Excavate and prepare sites for septic system installations
Read and install per engineer blueprints and project plans
Install septic tanks, leach fields, and related components
Coordinate with crew members and foreman on daily tasks
Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform basic inspections
Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines on every job
Haul materials and equipment between job sites as needed
Communicate professionally with customers and property owners

What We're Looking For

Ideal candidates will bring some or all of the following to the table:

Proven experience operating heavy equipment (excavators, skid steers, etc.)
Valid CDL license (Class A or Class B preferred)
Clean or explainable driving record
Ability to read engineer blueprints and install per plans
Strong work ethic and reliability — show up, get it done
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Team player who communicates well and takes direction
Experience in excavation, septic, or utilities is a plus — not required
